If brake fluid is leaking there is a failure or installation problem of some
type.

Subject: [Healeys] Brake hose clamp

I shall be replacing the front RHS wheel bearings on my MkII BT7 soon.

I have Goodridge brake hoses, by which I mean hoses with a stainless steel
woven/braided outer layer.

Now, I am thinking of getting some form of clamp to minimize the drips and
ingress of air.

Do these things work on braided hoses?

It seems to me that, were the clamp strong enough to squish the hose flat,
it would deform the braiding and the hose would never recover?????

Maybe better to plug the hose with a sharp bit of wood and bleed the system
afterwards??

What do you think?

Thanks,

Simon
