[Healeys] Generator not Generating

Hi Patrick,

Run some fine sandpaper between the normally closed points next to the
regulator bobbin. They open and interrupt the power to the field
windings when the battery is fully charged, however if there is a tiny
bit of corrosion built up on the points from years of sitting on a
shelf then no current will flow to start the charging. Ideally take
the points off and file them because sandpaper can leave material
behind, however this isn't normally an issue if you use 600-800 grit
paper.

I'm sure you know about the need for generator polarising if the genny
came off a different (negative earth) car previously.

Andy.
