[Healeys] Fwd: 1956 Austin-Healey 100M

Stunningly beautiful car, but concourse it ain´t: speedo/tacho dials are 
a bit gropy, rear reflector rubbers do not seem to be fitted 
properly/messy, fitting rear shroud to rear wings is not perfect, but 
they were not from the beginning.

Items I am not sure of: painted all over green instead of black dynamo 
body and bare aluminium end plates, gold coloured instead of black coil, 
red ignition leads which are numbered. To much detailing always gives 
away the game. Not as it left the factory.

Although Michelin made radial tyres from the late 40´s, so that could be 
correct, the thread pattern is rather modern and Dunlop may not have 
been in radials yet at the time. Were the brake drums painted silver 
originally? Perhaps the chrome wire wheels were an option?

Important? Not really. The thing should be driven, let us hope it will 
not end up as a trailer queen.

Strangely there are no pictures from underneath or identification 
plaques/engravings/stampings.

Expensive? You bet!

It is a lot of money that is being asked but then again, how much will 
it cost you to do such a comprehensive restoration?
