[Healeys] Starter

I just had the starter and generator rebuilt at a shop that has been in business since the sixties.  They turned the commutator on the generator and filed down the material ber ween the copper blades.  They did not have the brushes in stock, so the cut a pair that were close.  It was CP Generator in Rialto here in SoCal.Mike MacLean

The starter is powerful enough. A proper rebuild is all it needs. A good
clean of the commutator on a lathe and new brushes should bring back the
strength. Also new bearings will help.
