[Healeys] Flasher Can Polarity

Hello

 

I recently bought a new flasher canister for our Healey Saloon. It is no
different than the unit fitted to the Austin-Healey.

 

Of course it doesn't want to work, but the Lucas flasher can from the BN3
works perfectly in the saloon.

 

I'm wondering if the flasher can is polarity sensitive. Will they work
irrespective of whether a car is positive or negative earthed?
