my healey is sitting now awaiting two new jet assemblys.  noticed that every time i used the choke gas was coming out 
bottom of front carb.  took it off and discovered a small hole that would come open when i used the choke.  the rubber was 
getting hard and inflexible.  i am assuming the new ones are much better because they sure do cost a lot more than the old 
ones.  think that was the last of my old style rubber parts to be changed out.
