[Healeys] Distributor Advance

Bj8 was running well when I noticed the distributor was a little loose. Removed the distributor everything was fine, so put it back in, but then could not get the car to start. Not sure what happened. Had to turn the distributor to extreme right to get it to even fire. Checked the archives and found Rich C advice on moving the advance back by using a 5/16 bolt screwed it into the gears. Once I put the screw in, I could not get the gears to move. Need your help on what I need to do to get back on the road.
