[Healeys] Throttle Cross-shaft

The accelerator pedal shaft goes horizontally through the gearbox tunnel
bulkhead to mate with the cross-shaft. I'm assuming that hole isn't also
covered over. I think it would be possible to find the captive nut holes by
using the pedal shaft hole as a guide to where the shaft should go. With
the brackets installed on the shaft, that gives some indication of the
fore/aft location of the holes. I would use a sharp instrument like an awl
or ice pick (does anyone remember those?) to probe the surface through the
bracket holes until you can break through.

Well, there are captive nuts, but they are in the cross heater plenum and
are almost impossible to get to. Here's a pic of the other side using a
mirror.

Tim and Keith, they are no welded nuts. There is literally no indication a
cross shaft was ever mounted, yet I'm sure there was.
