As said..."honored" and I'm absolutely confident that when you figure out MH377 you will let us know.

I used to work in the R&D in the Dutch NTHSA in the 70's. Developing and approving child seats, helmets, seat belts, anthropomorphic dummies, collision test rigs and the like. It taught me a thing or two. Very interesting and it got me checking out and wearing my seat belts all the time and checking out the child seats for our granddaughter!!

Sorry, no expertise on MH370.

Cheers,

Kees Oudesluijs

Thanks for that Kees. We are certainly honored to have someone on the list who is an authority on everything.

BTW what happened to MH370?

When installing a three-point belt, reel or static, make sure that the buckle is low, the lap strap should be over the thighs/pelvis, NEVER over the abdomen. In the latter case it will kill or seriously injure you in a heavy crash, causing serious internal abdominal injuries. The top of the buckle should not protrude more than a few centimetres above the seat cushion. In many cases the stalk of the buckle is to long, leaving the buckle up to high, dangerous!! If so, where did you mount the reel? Is there a better seat belt out there for the late BJ8?
