Yeah, I got that Larry, It just sounds like a conversation we could each have with ourselves every day.

They say talking to yourself is ok as long as you don't answer...

Hi Bill, I'm sure Dave does not need us to talk him in or out of a Healey.
My point is that it appears to be a car that has been parked for 50 years!
And while it was tongue in cheek, cars like that very often turn into very
big projects. I agree that a BN4 is probably the best buying big Healey and
I have seen many get the upgrades to 3000 specs.
Cheers

I'm a little confused Larry. Are you trying to talk him into it or out of
it? Yeah, Dave knows better than most exactly what he is getting into, or
not... My take, if you're not looking for a new hanger queen a damaged BN4
can easily be built up to do what any  any other Healey will. (Well maybe
not the Denis Welch crowd, but they do sell their parts) So I have to say
jump on it if the price is right. There are fewer and fewer of those every
day. If it's a New Mexico car and not a refugee from the northeast there
shouldn't be much rust although any barn find should have a mechanical
inspection and refurbishment.
