[Healeys] Lifter and Cam Wear ZDDP Issue

Many years ago, the Southern California AH Club had a seminar with Frank Monise, a builder of British cars for racing. At this seminar, Frank talked of the importance of using a good break in oil with ZDDP to get everything set, but then he shocked everyone with saying after he breaks an engine in, he goes full synthetic! And never worries about ZDDP again!

This article seems to back him up. I have been running my BN1 for over ten years with 10W30, no ZDDP and my car is running better than ever right now. Will it blow up tomorrow? Who knows? It's a Healey and anything is possible, but with oil changes and making sure it doesn't get too low in oil, I just keep driving and smiling.
