[Healeys] Problems continue

The black/white wire from the distributor to the battery cutoff switch is “intermittent”. When that wire is grounded, you get no spark, when that wire is disconnected all is well. Somewhere between the distributor and the switch (or perhaps the switch itself) is an intermittent grounding.

Good luck, … and happy Healeying once you find where that grounding is taking place.

After having my distributor rebuilt, the car ran fantastic. I worked until 11:30 PM Friday night finishing ip small projects on car. Woke up early Sat. Packed for drive to Randevous. Met up with tour group and off we went. I got another 16 miles of driving and then she died. No spark. Car turns over, fuel pump ,pumps, nothing. Had car towed home and drove wife's Mazda to meet up with the group at first night hotel. Could not see spark at points or from plug wire with screw driver stuck in it. I put a new coil in, still nothing. Off to enjoy the meet, will deal with beast when we get home.
