[Healeys] Someone just got a GREAT Tricarb for a steal

Alan,

The early Tricarbs had side shifts like the one shown in the photos, later ones had center shifts. 

The “odd” shift lever looks exactly like the one in the used Tricarb I bought in the spring of 1962 - it wasn’t long before I cut off the upper bend and ran threads to accept the shift knob.

I wonder how many other side shifts were modified this way.
