[Healeys] side shift tri carb

Michael,
Please recheck your source for the information that you have provided. Clausager in Original Austin-Healey cites the change point to the center change gearbox as E/2246, BT7/15881, and BN7/16039 in Nov. 1961. My Service Parts List for BN7 and BT7 shows the change point as 29E-H2246. And my car HBT7L/16323 with engine number 29E RU H/2760 indeed has a center change gearbox. I can check the number on the gearbox to see if it is the same as on my Heritage Certificate, but I'm pretty convinced that it should have a center shift and not a side shift gearbox. I know that the engine number matches the Heritage Cert. I also checked the Anderson/Moment Restoration Guide and they agree with Clausager.
The start of the Mark II is correct at C.13751, E.29E/101.
Thanks.
Charlie Baldwin

Yes,
MkII started at C.13751 (Mar 61) and the top shift box started at BT7 17129 and BN7 17547 (Jan 62)

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
