The USA has always been somewhat 'balkanized*' (witness our horrible Civil War--the first 'modern war'). It's just gotten worse lately.

There are no disputes between Englishmen and Germans. Its just a discussion. I think I have as many friends in the UK than in Germany and I am working part time for an British company called Austin-Healey Club. So no problem at all. 


Its more common to English and Germans that we do not understand the Americans ;-). I may need to include the French and other Europeans as well. Meanwhile we really fear what´s coming in the future with your new president elect.
