[Healeys] Steering problem

If the steering is still to heavy for you after all has been checked and
rectified (tire presure, tire size, alignment,
lubrication/condition/adjustment of trunnions, steering box, satelite,
joints etc.), you may consider to have the car fitted with an electric
power steering conversion kit.
There are several firms carrying out these conversions. In essense an
electric power steering unit, incl. ECU if neccesary, will be used from
a scrapped modern car.The steering column needs to be modified and in
many cases the column will be made collapsible, I think, for extra safety.
There is a Dutch firm designing these conversions:
www.ezpowersteering.nl/23/Home.html. They also provide the kits to firms
in the rest of Europe and the USA.
In the US it is a.o. Powertrain:
http://americanpowertrain.com/p-29458-electric-power-steering.html

There are also DIY possibilities:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKzCaEjvJeM and there are others.
