[Healeys] BJ8 Top detail

This is a question for those of you with the Haartz stayfast canvas tops.When I took my old top apart (it was a non-original canvas top) the leading aluminum piece that overlaps the windshield was clad in vinyl. I think I have enough extra canvas to cover this, but I wondered if those of you out there with this sort of top have vinyl, or canvas on this particular piece?Thanks,Stephen, BJ8
