I have a BJ7 and in 2008 installed Dynamat throughout the interior surfaces and also installed the side vents. I find the cockpit temp reduced substantially but can't be sure what percentage of this heat reduction can be attributed to the vents vs. the Dynamat. The insulation also does wonders for road noise as well.
