[Healeys] valve clearance

So I had some help adjusting the valves on my BT7 engine with BJ8 grind cam
I had always adjusted them cold, he said hot. The Bently manual said
cold12,15.
So hot or cold?
 Also, how much oil should be coming out of the holes in the rocker arm?
It's not shooting out, but it does blurp out as the engine warms up. I
wanted to check, so I ran the engine at fast idle for a while with the
cover off?
I also found the rear of the flange was smooth as if someone had grinded
off the lip, and yup it leaked....
