Oil additives- a complete waste of time and money- the manufacturers put in what’s necessary with their base oils when they blend them. Synthetic oils were only developed for new complex modern engines with extended oil drain periods (and will find any little hole to leak out of)

ZDDP as an additive is only important when an newly rebuild engine is being broken in.
Synthetic oil is an unnecessary expense.
Oil in old cars should be changed once every year.
