[Healeys] excess oil consumption

Should it be dry? I adjusted my valves and oil bubbled up, not squirted.
The rear flange on my valve cover was flat and the gasket was not glued
down. I had a lot of oil leaking out the back of the Cover. Need to get in
a replace the cover and right stuff the gasket to see if that helps. I have
maybe 60k miles over the last 40 years.
