I met Leroy five years ago when he and his wife drove their Nasty Boy Healeys to a car show in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  A very genuine and nice guy and it turns out that I knew the individual that build one of his Nasty Boys in the 1970sin the Midwest and in 2002 I bought the lot of the guys Healey parts to fill a 26ft truck, one part happened to be the original engine that was in Leroy’s Nasty Boy.  I still have it and it is in my 1960 BT7 that I’m working on.  Hopefully I will finally start it up this year and when I do I will think about Leroy.  RIP Leroy.

Hi guys and gals,

Very sad news.  L eroy Joppa just passed away.  All that I know right now 
is that he died of medical complications.  Sue also has cancer and 
doesn't yet know Leroy has passed away.  Her condition is stable.  That 
could change once she finds out Leroy has passed away.

The Joppa's are long term members of the AHCA and have been involved in 
the growth and viability of the AHCA since 1980.  They had been 
delegates representing the WI club since they joined in 1980.

The wake for Leroy will take place on Monday at 11:00 AM and funeral 
service at noon.  It will take place at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 
5330 Beech Street, Laona, WI 54541, 715-674-3241.
