Well, PP does always nag me to 'complete my account setup' when I log in.  They want to link to my checking account, but 
I don't know them well enough to get intimate.  They do send an 'account status' email once a month or so.

When you get suspect emails that try to get you to click on a link--aka 'phishing'--just mouseover the link and look at 
the URL; if it's got a domain in Ukraine or China, etc. you know it's not legit.
