[Healeys] Clint Eastwood

Well, in 1959 he was starring as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide.  So I guess
he was on the way up.

 

A little-known fact is that his half-sister, the late Judy
Kondratieff, raced a Bugeye, then an MGB and, in 1970, was part of the
winning team with Janet Guthrie in the Sprite at Sebring.  For many
years she was married to New Zealand F1 driver Howden Ganley,
co-designer and builder of TIGA race cars with Australian, Tim
Schenken, also a F1 driver.

Looking at the car, this is a 1953 or 1954 BN1, which he owned in 1958
meaning this might have been a second hand car you think?  I guess in
1958 Clint was still a relatively unknown actor so makes sense.

And here he is again with his BN1.  I think the XK was a studio
publicity shot.  I don't think he owned one.

Many interesting personalities of yesteryear owned Healeys.
