[Healeys] Oil leak

The pic didn't make it into the re-sent mail so I am guessing here. I have a 29D engine in Bluehealey and had a similar issue. There is a cast mounting pad below the generator that is intended for a mechanical fuel pump. Although the hole for the pump actuating arm doesn't exist the two mounting bolt holes do! They are tapped as well. I put button head Allen screws into the holes with copper washers to seal them.

Let us know what you find.

I see a hole on the bottom flange. Is this a casting thing, or should something be plugging it? Where could the oil be coming from. The cover plate shows a little leak, but I'm talking about oil pooling under the car from that approximate location . My nice new chrome valve cover is leak free .
