I have been sorting thru the fasteners that came with my disassembled BN1 & came across two 1/4"-26 (BSF) X 5/8" long screws that are unique. See attached photo. Because they are 26 TPI (BSF) I assume they belong on my engine somewhere. What makes makes them unique is that there are no markings on the heads & they appear to be made from stainless steel.
I hope someone can identify them & tell me where they go. I assume the previous owner did not try to spiff up his engine with two BSF stainless screws. There is no evidence of any other non-original shinny bits on this car that I have found.
