Hmmmmmmmmm ... right after I sent this I realized ALL caps probably have this valve, else the rad tank could collapse from the vacuum created as the coolant cools down.

Don't the caps used with an overflow system require a check valve, to pull the overflowed coolant back into the radiator as it cools?

Dunno if you can find the right size cap for a Healey rad with such a check valve.

Let it overflow. Once it reaches the level of about one inch below the rim it will not over flow any more. But make sure you have the proper radiator cap. Check with British Car Specialist as the depth which it seals is deeper than the standard caps.

The BN6 does not have a radiator overflow and leaves a big puddle in the garage after every drive.

My brother, the hot rodder, suggested a thin chromed overflow canister available at most rod shops and amazon. I am not sure if there is enough room and it would look to out of place.

Does anyone have a picture of an elegant and easy solution.

Thank you
