[Healeys] LEDs for reflector conversion

Big article on lighting in a recent Austin Healey magazine (it mentioned Superbright and another supplier).

The article mentions that you shouldn't use an LED in the battery/charge indicator (in the tach).  Anyone know why?  I'm 
using one with no (apparent) problems.
