Boy, that is an understatement.  My Smitty bellhousing was 3/8 of an inch off
center.   I didn't figure this out until I wasted two Toyota input/main shafts
and a number of clutch disks.   I contacted Pete since he bought Smitty's
business.  Initially he said he would make it right, but after wasting another
$60 to ship him my bellhousing, he turned around and charged me $600 for the
replacement.   He said it was his cost.???

I thought "make it right", meant at least cover the cost of the defective
product. As you can tell I am still not happy, yet my transmission does work
much better now that it is not binding, but I could have had the old
bellhousing redrilled for far less.

You can get the clutch disks at Clutchnet, or have your disk relined.  There
is nothing secret about them and no reason for the part number to be "blacked"
out.  Just tell Clutchnet the diameter and that is has a Toyota spline.

 Not sure if this is causing your problem but, the Smitty
 bell housings did not
 line up very well. That is, they were not properly indexed
 to the center-line
 of the crankshaft, so there was excessive wear to the spines
 on the clutch
 disc and in some cases resulting in complete failure. 
 The solution is to have
 a machine shop index the bell-housing to the Healey engine
 and then do a fix
 with a couple of locating dowels onto the rear engine plate.
 I would estimate
 that  this will cost you about $4-500, if indeed, this
 is your problem.  But,
 you will see when you take things apart and look at your
 clutch disc.
