[Healeys] Wire wheels

I've had more luck with a "wrench". Moss and the others used to have them
made in metal which fit over the ears and was long enough to put plenty of
torque on the knock off to remove it. Saves the knock off too but will
still leave a mark on it where the edge of the tool fits on the ear.
Another option is to make your own with a couple of pieces of plywood or
hardwood. The longer the handle the more torque you can put on the knock
off.

G'day

If you can't find a remover I would recommend a Thor brand hammer which is
copper on one side and rawhide on the other. Copper is softer than chrome
and won't damage the knock-on.

Have a look at:

Yes I own a zillion shares in Thor hammers and they pay me stacks every time
you buy one.

Knock offs tighten while driving.

You may need to get one of the lever type knock off removers or make one to
gain enough leverage to remove it. Conversely, get a bigger rubber hammer
and beat the S*** out of it.
