Well, with those dimensions, my final shot is to suggest that you offer them
up to the scuttle/door seal position and see if they could be part of a
bscuttle sealb. ie they are one-offs and perhaps designed to have rubber
seals pushed onto them. Probably after theybve been cut to size.

I don't have them with me, but the picture was taken on a business size
envelope. They are about 12 inches long and the flanges are about 5/8ths wide.

We are getting a fairly vague impression, not knowing how big these things
are. Nor, until now, what they are made of.......
However, I'm game for another try. What about them being the bits that are
welded in to cut down on "Scuttle shake"?? I recall something from Bill
Bolton that encompassed that. (I've got his article). Dimensions would be a
great help.

I think from the small picture that was in my original email, you guys got
the wrong impression.  These pieces are thin angle iron.  The "scuttle seal"
everyone is talking about is a flat piece of steel and I have those too.
Maybe a different picture hosting site will work better.
