Peter, I believe my ex-works Sebring 3000 from 1965 was raced with 54 spoke
Dunlop aluminium rim wheels. When the car had extended  flares and Cobra 6
inch reversed rims fitted at Arthur Carter's workshop the alloy rims ended
upon Arthur's 1963 Sebring car 54FAC now in Holland
I have actually held one of these rims that was found amongst a collection of
parts here in Australia. They were not immediately recognisable as the wheels
had
not been in use for some time, the owner was not aware of their history.
I have not heard of magnesium rims, but then we are always learning
Over the years I have seen various optional wheel widths offered by Donald
Healey Motor CO and others but no mention of either magnesium or aluminium rim
material
