[Healeys] Battery Not Charging

Disconnect the two wires to the generator. Place a jumper between the two
terminals. Connect a voltmeter, one lead to the jumpered terminals, one to
ground. Start the car and measure, it should show AMPLE voltage, if not
then, there you go, if it has output then look at the regulator or harness
for the cause.
