[Healeys] texas cooler

Correct me if I am wrong here, some owners removed the original metal fan blades because of the possibility of breakage, they then replaced it with a plastic "Texas Cooler" that also breaks because it was possibly made in China or by someone who was at some point the lowest bidder for the job. I think one is better off to stay with the original ones, they are no worse, that's for sure.
In many cases the original was replaced in order to keep the car cooler in warm southern climates.
I don't live in very warm climate such as Texas or Arizona but it can get pretty hot in summer, I installed a four core radiator, an original style sleeved thermostat and put back the original blades after sanding them, checking for cracks and repainting them then check them every three years, been OK for the last 24 years, I'll stick with that.
