The fans are currently backordered at Moss for the reason below.

“Thank you for your email.

Yes. The Texas Cooler will be offered again in the future. But for the time being, the tools that were making this part broke. Once they are fixed we will have the part described in the catalog and the website again.” Moss Sales Dept.

Cheers

Fair enough. I do know Moss redesigned it due to a blade break failure of original design. Verify you are not getting new old stock, but a new designed fan. I have one on my car.
BTW I needed to move m t radiator forward a but to ensure clearance when it flexed.

Great, thanks for the info.

Re Moss, that company has a very different status and rep over here. To be honest, I don’t know anyone who has ever used them and I don’t think they even do Big Healeys anymore.

Apparently the fan was pretty much of a stock item years ago so it may be a scrap yard job. Mind you, at that price, it’s hardly worth the bother?

Yes it is. Simon, moss motors sell them too. So check Moss UK, too to compare pricing.

Do any of you recognize this fan? See attached. Is it – I still hardly dare say it – a Texas Kooler?

It’s from Ahead4Healeys, but is doubtless available from all or most of our UK suppliers as well as yours, wherever you may be......

Thanks, by the way, to those who replied re. adding another blade. In retrospect, my idea was pretty flawed as it revolved around second hand blades on eBay.....

Happy New Year,
