FWIW, the numbers from the HD8's on my S1 E-Type are AUD227.

Listers.  Thanks for the input.  So, these 1964 BJ8 carbs (the tags are AUC
124F and AUC 124R) have two sets of choke levers.  These choke levers are
mounted on the same shaft, so this cannot be an HD6 jet housing assembly that
has been installed on an HD8.  Could this be a very early 1964 set of
carbs...changing over from the old style of choke linkage?
