[Healeys] Coil Connections

SW = (ignition) SWitch
CB = Circuit Breaker (points)
For a pos. grnd. car, with points, you want (+) to go to ground, through the points.
IIRC, the white wire is from the ignition switch, and the b/w wires go to the distributor/points and to the battery cutoff switch in the boot (both ground the coil, the points intermittently and the cutoff switch 'permanently' so the engine can't start).
And, yes, it matters because in most coils the primary and secondary wires are wound in series, which gives more output voltage hence a stronger spark.

Subject: [Healeys] Coil Connections
I have switched my points to a positive ground Pertronix system. In doing this
I also switched my coil to a Flamethrower. The system works great but in the
event of a failure, I have kept the original setup of points and condenser.
On the Flamethrower coil there is a positive and a negative terminal. On my
old coil there are SW and CB terminals.
If I go back to points and use the Flamethrower coil, to which terminal do I
attach the white wire - positive or negative? I presume the two black and
white wires would then go to the other terminal.
OR
Do I reinstall my old coil as well when or if I go back to points and use the
SW for the white wire and CB for the black and white wires?
Thank you.
