The Royal Purple should be fine. I hope your mechanic advised you about
proper break-in and gear oil change requirements as well. Here they are:

Folks,
Does anyone know if Royal Purple synthetic oil SAE75W-140 would be OK to use
in the differential. I just had my new 3.55 pinion and crown wheel
installed and the mechanic recommended this oil. I donbt want to start an
oil war so please, anyone who is knowledgeable in this area can reply off
list. Thanks
in advance for the help.
