[Healeys] Braking problem for a Longbridge

My Longbridge BN4 was impossible to bleed. I ended up using a power bleeder
and an assistant to pump the brakes as well.

Those MC's were recalled, problem fixed. When one disconnects both ends of
he system a lot of fluid is generally lost and a lot of air is introduced.
o it requires a lot of bleeding to refill the system. This is best
ccomplished with a power bleeder of some sort. Plan on totally emptying the
eservoir at least once. Having a helper pump and another bleeding takes a
ong time....

If you're not leaking any fluid the problem is probably either the M/C
iston seal or foot valve. Have someone slowly work the brake pedal while
ou watch the fluid level in the reservoir--if it goes up when the pedal is
ressed the foot valve is failing to seal; if not, it's probably the piston
eal that is failing to seal (I'm assuming you don't have a servo).
Did you inspect the internals of the M/C before install? Is it one of the
Classic Gold' (think that's the name) ones that Moss is (was?) selling?
hey had problems with the foot valve design.
