[Healeys] Nice 'Nasty Boy' 100 for sale.

If I were to make a Nasty Boy I sure wouldn't use the Rover V8. I'm not sure
about the 383, interesting choice. Instead, I would opt for a Ford small
block 289/302 or even a 351W. They are slightly longer than the Chevy
small blocks but much narrower. The listed weight for a late 80s 302 is 411
pounds. A 289/302 that is an earlier block is 460 pounds. Considerably
less than a Healey 6 and probably less or the same as a 100-4 engine. I
have a 351W in a kit Cobra with near 400hp and these are very good motors,
very tough and parts are very inexpensive. There is a fellow in my state of
Wisconsin with a 454 Chevy big block in a 100-6. It seems to handle fine.
I coincidentally have the original motor from that car which was swapped in
the 1970s.

The info I have indicate around 700lbs for the Chrijsler engine and around
560lbs for an AH 100-6 so I expect a 100-4 to weigh in at about 500lbs or
less.
