As I mentioned earlier, I got my insurance through Hagerty when I shipped my Healey to Europe. They sold me an add-on policy covering the length of the tour.

Charlie,
I have spoken with my own insurers here in the UK
www.rhclassicinsurance.co.uk
and was advised that they don't cover UK vehicles shipped to North America;
they recommend that your friends contact one or more of the USA insurance
companies - such as Hagerty etc. for a limited duration period tour.
If I recall correctly, this we had to do when the three Healeys came over
for the Route 50 tour in 2002. To date, I have not found my files on the
tour but suspect that it may have been Hagerty who covered us, maybe for
Third Party only.
It will be just a question of calling all possible specialist classic car
insurers in the USA.
Sorry I cannot be of more help.
Peter

I'm also sending this to a friend who is a State Farm agent.
I know that on the list, we have gone over antique car insurance many
times in the past, but this is a new twist.
