[Healeys] Speedometer gearing

Per,

Cannot answer your question.  But is there perhaps enough difference in the 3rd and 4th gears in the gearbox of the two cars to require the different speedos?  Just a thought.  However, 980 compared to 1575 seems like a whopping difference for so little variation in the gearbox or rearend.
