[Healeys] fuel tank sending unit

Can someone tell me if I can fit a phase 1 BJ8 sending unit to the 
fuel tank of a 1962 MKII BT7?

If I need to adjust or change the float arm that would not be an issue.

NOS Locators has one that seems to solve some of the problems that 
the other senders still have.
