[Healeys] hand brake - chrome or nickel

John handbrake handle was chromed.....but it seems only the grab portion was
highly polished, the rest was not so bright.

I believe an original MKII hand brake was nickel, not chrome.

Are people using the new chromed ones or re-chroming an original or 
are they nickle coating them to original specs?
