Tomorrow and Friday appear to be very unhealthy weather wise with very high
temps and humidity. Soooo not really willing to go out, I will put this on
as well as try to catch up on my extensive backlog. Check in on Saturday to
see the additions to my site.

Dear Richard

I have had problems like yours with my fuel pump until I had David Dubois
rebuild it using his optical/electronic technique. I have attached a copy
of a paper he wrote and it should give you the information you need to
adjust yours and also to contact him or others to rebuild your spare or the
one in your car. In the mean time, you might try to purchase a FACET pump (
make sure that it is the low pressure version 3 to 5 PSI ) from your local
auto store and put it in series with the SU and wire a switch to choose
either one. I have done that when my SU quit on a regular basis and it
works great. The FACET pump lasted 4 years before it "kicked the bucket" ,
but for $40.00, I did not care. I still have one in the car with the
rebuilt SU just as insurance. I do not want to be on the side of the road
with a bad fuel pump ever again. I have had my BJ8 for over 42 years and it
has happened more than once.

I have copied John Sims with this email so that he can place the SU FUEL
PUMPS 100 pdf on his website for those that are interested, as it will be
stripped off of those who get this on the list.

Sincerely,

Mark Goodman
