has make & model car are we talking about? It may not make any difference.
Assuming it is a vintage British car, does the car have any of the following:
electronic Tach, electronic fuel pump, Pertronix ignition, alternator? What
non-original electrical modifications are you aware of?

 should have mentioned that there is no batter in the car.

on
