Thatbs precisely the problem b:

When assembling the carbs I noticed that:
- the extra heat shield  (I got from Denis Welch) does not fit properly
without touching the manifold unless you stack 2 phenolic washers
- even if I install just one thick phenolic washer I cannot get the cold air
box as it does not clear the knocked frame pieceb&

Itbs a bit of a catch 22 situation..
