[Healeys] Syncro problem

Magnus,

Where did you get your syncro rings?

I had a similar experience when I rebuilt my gearbox 9+ years ago. At
the time, I bought syncro rings from AH spares since they had the
lowest price. (At the time, the US $ was a bit stronger than it is
now.) I have since learned that I would have had better luck with
"uprated" syncro rings which are now available. Someday I may make
another attempt at rebuilding my gearbox, but in the meantime, I just
double clutch when I downshift into second. When I started the whole
process I had to double clutch when downshifting into third gear so I
consider the present condition of my gearbox a great improvement.
