  Time for a rebuild with new bearings/bushes and shims or a 
re-manufactured generator..
In the past I often have machined the spindle and end plate to take a 
ball bearing instead of a bush.
The bushes do wear as they are often overlooked with a service. They 
should be oiled regularly.
