[Healeys] 3000 rear main seal adaptor

AH Spares web site states that machining of the crankshaft and block is
required.
A similar but different seal sold by Moss appears to involve less machining.
Is this correct?
 
Which of those two seals, or one sold by someone else, does anyone feel is a
better product?

I did mine that way.  The seal that I bought, from AH Spares, required
removal modification of the
engine rear plate, but I was able to do all of it with the engine in place.
